Pros
Was able to get a lot of exposure to high profile projects working within a top 5 market. That doesn't always happen so my experience was somewhat unique in that way which did help me grow at an accelerated pace. Enjoyed the sales leadership within the market for their strengths but also their willingness to collaborate with client services/marketing.
Cons
The last statement from above about cross discipline collaboration? Corporate could take a cue from this market leadership. The corporate hierarchy is a joke, completely fragmented and somewhat of a laughing matter within field markets. The marketing leadership is bizarre... like, why are you here? What qualifications do you actually have aside from blowing smoke up someones ... you know... very nice people and all but we're not at a tea party - this is a job. Underpaid and as with any corporation hard to raise that once it's set upon hiring. Kind of like a GPA. Expect a complete overhaul every 1.5-3 years where they re-structure the entire marketing/client services teams to "better align to sales"... sales thinks marketing is a nuisance so it basically equates as marketing leadership trying to prove their value when in reality they end up wasting lots o money on layoffs, re-hiring and retraining.
