Pros

Wonderful people to work with (with the exception of most of executives) In house recording studio was top of the line (but came with strict rules) Office location was convenient

Cons

Management - inexperienced, difficult to work with, not transparent at all, poor communicators Work/Life Balance - 50+ hour work weeks are the norm. Plan to bring work home frequently WFH/PTO - Good luck trying to take time off. The company has a lot of turnover that it became impossible to take time off because you'd be so swamped covering responsibilities for all the missing people. As for WFH, most people do it so it's not very structured Turnover - I've never seen a "start-up" go through so many employees during the 10 or so months I spent there. Do a LinkedIn search of former employees and ask them about their experience. Leadership - IMO, they never really seemed to be on the same page about anything. The company recently received a round of funding and then laid off a significant portion of the company. Seems like the growth is going in reverse Benefits - Terrible benefits. They have so many plans to pick from, it takes hours to find the one the best suits your needs. As for costs, if you are single, you will be fine, but if you have a significant other or family, the costs go up exponentially. Compensation - I'm not sure how well other departments paid throughout the company, but based what I was paid along with a few former colleagues, we discovered that it was not competitive. Culture - Lots of cliques that remained closed to new hires. Growth - very little opportunity to grow. (hence the turnover)
