Pros
In the time I've been here, I've seen a company that takes employee feedback seriously and has turned words into positive actions. I'm one of several female leaders, who, along with my partners are being deliberate about the moves we make so we leave the bro culture WAAY in the past and move us into positive spaces, and I've seen tons of progress in the short time here. I like that I'm heard and I feel like there is an amazing openness to feedback. I'm also just really into the relationship between product management, engineering and design. I've worked in places in the past that pay lip service to cross functional work but fail in practice, my experience at Splice has been really different in that we really do work as partners. There's a lot of mutual respect and that, I feel, helps. We also just make really great products... I feel like of all the tech startups in the world, we can honestly say we do no harm and in fact help artist progress... that feels really good.
Cons
No place is without it's faults, I would love to see us be more forward thinking. I think we could take bigger bets; let's get uncomfortable!, prioritize quality (i'm a designer after all) and keep improving our communication; there can never be enough.
