Pros

Somewhat willing to work with stylist's availability.

Cons

No set schedule, lack of professionalism, willing to hire anyone who walks in the door. Poor haircut quality (for the most part), horrible pay. False promises upon hire. Poor payment practices and unwillingness to correct mistakes. Stylists aren't allowed to use the tools they prefer. Dead-end job with no real benefits.

We supply each store with guards, so team member's do not have to supply their own. That is the reason we ask team members use a specific tool. Pros

Health Insurance and 401k definitely help. A lot of hairdressers are moms and some of them single moms, so these benefits help a lot! My team leader and area manager are amazing at helping and keeping me feeling good about how I'm doing.

Cons

none, I have to say, if you're willing to work and make something of yourself and want to work for a great company that will recognize that. This is the place to be!

Pros

Great hourly pay with tips. Averaged about $38 to $40 an hour. Great starting place. They do offer training. The co-workers were nice at my location. Management does help you with flexible scheduling so if you have children, it works out great.

Cons

Burnout is real. Expected to complete service within an allotted short time. Too many clients come in that want expensive barbershop cuts but want to pay the lowest price (they really shouldn’t even go to sport clips for). Also, way too many clients with long hair wanting full scissor cuts. They won’t turn away clients even if the cuts they ask for are — are not something sport clips does or allows for a lot of time. TV’s get annoying after a while (too loud).
