Pros

This portion is a challenge to complete. The small company is great with a mom/pop type of business which they like to take advantage of. I will admit the success of the payment side of the company, they do a great job....again - taking advantage of the small businesses. As a former team member in HQ, they would often ridicule the Merchants, Sales Partners, and Employees. The management team provided a successful daily fraternity style of fist bumps and simply laughing at not only the merchants, but the Sales Partners as well. Junior Varsity at best. If you were not from the parent company, you were worthless. Great for the participants.

Cons

Are you looking for a decent compensation? Are you looking for a structured review process or a competent HR team? This is not the company to get involved with. Several team members mentioned the pay they received and it was sickening - below poverty in California. After my year long employment, I felt the need to write a review. There are several 'executives' that will take advantage and don't care. Please research prior to doing business with SpotOn.

We're sorry to see that it seems you had a negative experience here. Having worked here, you know that we place a large premium on transparency, teamwork, and innovation. We invite *any* employee to raise any concerns they have with their experience here. You also know that each employee has a direct line of communication to the founders as well as the president, and they legitimately care about the culture here. We're building a company from the ground up, and acknowledge that the pace and structure aren't for everyone.

Pros

Robust benefits package that covers all the essentials: health, dental, vision, and a 401(k). They also offer an unlimited PTO policy, which is a great perk depending on how you prefer to manage your work-life balance.

Cons

Where do I begin? The product itself is unreliable and faulty, which means you are constantly dealing with angry customers. When you combine an unstable product with inept leadership, it's easy to see why the company struggles with profitability. There is zero culture here (at least in my department), and managers provide a severe lack of training. New employees are routinely thrown into situations they aren't prepared for, yet leadership wastes no time lambasting you when things go wrong. Because of this, morale is incredibly low and turnover is very high. Their internal processes are deeply flawed, and leadership has no intention of fixing them. It is simply too much work and unnecessary stress for the pay. I would stay far away from this company.
