Pros
Many professional development opportunities, although a bit redundant at times. Good pay, especially for "new" teachers. I love my colleagues though, they keep me sane.
Cons
Terrible communication campus and district wide, teachers do other people's jobs (subbing for other teachers during the work day, excessive data analysis, etc), very data-driven district where they only seem to care about test scores, SO MUCH MICROMANAGING that you feel like you're walking on eggshells each morning you walk in, inconsistent rules and expectations, no conference time (unless you want to count 30 minutes a week), lack of balance between work and family. The majority of employees feel unappreciated for the hard work we do. Admin don't really know what they're doing (they fake it) and place the responsibility on their teachers. No wonder the district has been audited twice within the last three years I've been here...
