Pros
Some departments have competitive starting salaries. There's a handful of good doctors and managers but it's the exception, not the norm.
Cons
The focus is all on the physicians - how can they make more money, how can they avoid taking patient calls after hours. HR is a joke, it's run by an accountant. No action on serious issues like blatant and spoken racism or workplace violence. They turn a blind eye to anything that may not have a good outcome. Physicians are allowed to be abusive towards staff.
