Pros
I left a job in the casino industry (Due to Covid) to take a remote tech support position with SprintRay. I have well over 20 years in Customer and Tech Support, but this is my 1st time stepping into the 3D printing field. I was very unsure of how well being a remote worker (1st time for that also) would play out. My Conclusion... I LOVE coming to work again! I enjoy waking up and talking to our customers. I have great co-workers, most of whom I have never met outside of a chat window. During my first week, I was able to have a Google Meet with our CEO Amir. When was the last time a CEO of a company sat down and had a conversation just to get to know their new employee? In all my years of working, I have never spoken directly to the CEO outside of a mass email sent to the entire company. They provided me with my computer and everything I would need to handle incoming calls, which arrived within the 1st week, (along with some other goodies). Even though there was no holiday get-together (Due to Covid) everyone got a package from the company with a box of holiday gifts. In order to make sure as tech support we can actually talk to our customers with first-hand knowledge of our printers, I was sent one of each of our printers. It really makes a difference when you can put your hands on the product. It helped me to understand all the tech support aspects of my job. In less than a year I have already started to branch out into other roles within Tier 1 that truly show how much a company values your knowledge and skill set. I never feel that I am not being heard or taken seriously because they truly listen to what we have to say. I am truly grateful for the opportunity I have been given and the caring culture SprintRay is developing. BTW the health benefits are outstanding!
Cons
I don't live close enough to enjoy the packed with snacks kitchen =)
