Pros

Time off when you want it. It's a job in a bad economy, ten percent off groceries, 401k is available. Hard to find pros, medical is offered IF you get average 32 hrs.

Cons

Low pay, men make more than women, men are promoted to management - most women aren't, crazy scheduling, they cut hours constantly.

Cons

I worked there for almost a year. I learned fast and showed that I have strong customer service skills. I built real relationships with customers, recommended products, and even had people come back because they liked the way I treated them. I received several compliments from customers who mentioned me by name and told management they appreciated my service. I also helped many customers sign up for the rewards program and assisted people who didn't speak English by communicating with them in other languages. After almost a year, they started adding more and more ridiculous rules that made no sense. Even though I had experience helping in Produce, Grocery, and Vitamins, I was never promoted or given the chance to cross-train officially. Instead, they cut my hours to ridiculous levels, like 9 hours a week. That's a mierda. My car insurance costs more than what you make working 9 hours a week. If that's what I deserve after everything I did for customers and the effort I put in, then it's a mierda. This is not a place where you can grow or earn decent money. The managers keep making absurd rules, but they don't increase your pay or promote you. They expect you to give excellent customer service while giving you nothing in return. You end up feeling stuck. Glad that finally got out
