Pros
I've worked in three different departments at SEU. The administration is always tedious, but my boss made all the difference in my overall work experience. When I was reporting directly to a professor or SEU grad, I found them sympathetic to any struggles I was having. Those who have dealt with the system for a long time are more prepared to help you navigate through it. Frequently my work assignments were vague, but that also allowed me a fair amount of personal freedom, and as long as the students were benefiting from my work (measured through tests/reviews/etc) I wasn't burdened by too much administrative pressure.
Cons
As I mentioned above, your boss matters. Those who are hired on from other schools to work in administration only were often incredibly unwelcoming, incompetent, and indifferent to the students (and the worker bees). One of my bosses created a toxic environment of favoritism (which she vocally prided herself on) and constantly made clear how unhappy she was at SEU. Be wary of any leadership figures at a university who constantly disparage students--they've chosen the wrong field and will make your life hell because of it.
