Pros
Great community based resources. Co-workers are professionally driven. It's an added bonus that the organization is religiously affiliated.
Cons
Although this organization strives for nationally recognized certifications and accolades, and has somehow managed to acquire some prominent awards and designations, there is a general sense of unbelief from those in the know, at least in the clinical setting. For years and years within this organization there has been a serious lack of resources, in regards to "boots on the ground". Organizationally, the clinical staff, in particular, are begging and screaming for additional resources (more staff and lower nurse-patient ratios)-- but this continues to fall on deaf ears. It is but one example of management and administration holding the "voice" of it's employees in the lowest regard. There is considerable staff turnover, across all departments, and there is no effort given in retaining current employees. Additionally, there is no investigation done as to why an individual is leaving-- no exit interviews. If there was, you would hear a huge percentage cite the lack of being heard and the lack of additional help, as the primary reasons for departure. The sense of "team" is given very little attention within this organization and this stems from a lack of inclusion and actual 'leading' by management. Yearly pay increases are laughable, if not insulting. The pay is below standard and employees are not incentivized properly, if at all.
