Leadership Gaps: There is a significant lack of sales strategy and leadership at the executive and at least one regional level. Management often relies on gaslighting and aggressive tactics rather than professional development or clear communication. Commission Transparency: Be prepared to track every dollar yourself. Commissions are frequently calculated inaccurately, and the company lacks a reliable payroll verification process for sales staff. Hidden Costs: Reps are penalized for inventory shortages. For example, if an asset (like a job trailer) is outsourced to a 3rd party, the rep's commission is slashed to 1%—often without prior notification. Culture: The environment is unsuitable for seasoned sales professionals; it is geared toward "order takers" or those early in their careers who don't yet recognize the lack of proper sales infrastructure.
