Pros

Compensation is good. Colleagues are generally nice and smart. Work life balance is good.

Cons

This is supposed to be a social change organization but it is really a political one, and they can’t even get the politics right. 10 years ago they were all in on politics, then Trump came around and they backed away from it but continued to support Republicans who paid lip service to some of their issues. Now they’re back to politics again but are just going to waste millions again. Yet this political focus gets all the attention and money, while the actual social change “entrepreneurs” are left to fight over scraps unless they happen to be some big name celebrity or some high profile PR event that looks good but doesn’t do anything to change society. They also change everything every year and are constantly in planning and strategy mode, which detracts from having an impact. At the end of the day this is all about politics and economic policy, with other “priority initiatives” / important social change topics merely existing as window dressing to obscure the ultimate goal of electing Republicans to cut taxes and regulations for their wealthy donors, with authoritarian and racist policies as a minor inconvenience.

A welcoming, Warm, Positive, and Good Environment where you are allowed and encouraged to grow.

Cons

Sometimes, not enough work is given. But it also allows you to express yourself and give value to the team.

Pros

Resourceful and makes a good effort as a company overall to make sure employees are encouraged to share and contribute ideas. Welcoming to what you want to say than many other companies.

Cons

I can’t tell if it is other teams. But for my team the job has been very demanding, and being pushed to get things done faster and faster can be frustrating, especially when you are new are trying to learn and comprehend complex systems. Meetings can overload times to get any stuff done, and sometimes you can be micromanaged to a point you can become overtly stressed out. also if you are not a Republican, Libertarian, or at least pro Conservatism; you should keep that to yourself. Your political alignment like it or not can and will be used against you.
