- Often feel obligated to go past standard 8 hours as an hourly employee to match the workload of salary coworkers - Your PI might not be a mentor… be prepared for that (and also prepare for it to be your case in graduate school) - As a non-exempt employee, it’d be nice to accrue hours like salary employees - Had no promotion despite working 2 different job titles simultaneously due to funding issues
