Pros

I had great supervisors and managers and everyone knew how important it is to balance your work and personal life. If you ask for time off and have the hours, they will let you no questions asked. There's also great people working there. I left for other reasons, the stress of the job goes away after leaving but I will always remember the people and team there and miss the good times we had! Also excellent benefits. It's a government job, they will take care of you when it comes to benefits.

Cons

Sometimes things change without prior notice and some management changes their mind often. Though I personally did not experience issues with supervisors or managers, I have heard from other employees that there are multiple strong personality clashes which made the workplace a bit unbearable, especially hearing about the drama every day. It is also a bit disorganized working there. They are currently still trying to convert from paper documentation to computer/online. Their systems are old and sometimes, people who work there for many many years still have somewhat old way of working thinking, which isn't always the most efficient way of working.

Pros

Decent pay, most attorneys work hard on their cases, good benefits

Cons

Heavy caseload, in court most of the day, insufficient office time to work cases so expect to regularly work at home evenings and weekends. No time for a personal life. High turnover, difficult for them to recruit & retain experienced attorneys so the experienced attorneys get dumped on. High stress job. 20+ attorneys quit in past 3 years. Plan on stress meds if you work here.
