Pros

Work from home flexibility, free lunches

Cons

My boss tried firing me over a Microsoft Teams call when on vacation in Canada when I had only worked 5 weeks, simply learning my job. The reason was for "not meeting performance goals" which was very vague. I cried to HR that I worked very hard at things because of my disability, which I had told my boss about. My boss had not picked up I had a disability after I told her, so I couldn't be fired without the company looking really bad. I was allowed to come to work on a probation period with accommodations, and everyone acted things were alright and I would be creating new relations with the company. However, a month later I was sent home early and HR told me that my boss would call me later in the week when I could return to work after they reviewed my performance. That phonecall ended up being my boss just firing me over the phone on very vague terms, the same reason I was fired before on "not meeting performance goals." I was shocked on how disrespectful and impersonal it was to be fired over the phone. What made things worse was I had to hand all of my items back to the office the next day. I lost control when I saw the words "we do what is right" printed on the office wall, and began to cry. My boss gave me a bad attitude when I handed all my items in, which I really did not appreciate. This was my first job out of college and to be treated as expendable and unskilled was hurtful to my self esteem and morale. Do not care to apply here, the management handles everything very poorly.

Pros

You will be working with great minds. People have their niches expertise and it’s wonderful to learn from them. Very professional and respectful behavior. Doesn’t feel like other consulting firms where you’re worked like a dog.

Cons

Sometimes it’s hard to build consistent work because people tend to hold on to their projects rather than transferring to junior staff and it’s mainly because the pressure to be billable is high.
