Pros

Really enjoyed working with return customers. Nothing is more rewarding than having a customer come back just for your work. That's super cool. Had an opportunity to learn Photoshop among other programs that has really helped me grow professionally as I move forward in life. Was an AWESOME job during college. Hours were flexible, pay was weekly and the people were nice. CPC Associates were for the most part left on their own and weren't hassled by management. It really allowed us to focus on company objectives and customers while maintaining autonomy. We did a large percentage of the sales in our store, and were one of the better Copy and Print Centers in the region/nation. I sure do miss weekly pay as well. Direct deposit every Thursday night...that was great.

Cons

Training was a bore and I really found myself learning most everything in the trenches. You really need to work well with not only customers, but coworkers as well. THIS WAS KEY! You're only as strong as your weakest link, and we had our weak links, but overall the crew worked very well and I enjoyed a rewarding relationship with not only my customers, but my coworkers.

Pros

You will acquire genuinely useful AR and account management skills including Oracle, MS Office, customer support, reporting, and general O2C fundamentals. These skills will help you in future roles and look good on a résumé. To be transparent: those skills will come in handy when you’re searching for a new job later — because based on team conditions, you’ll likely be looking again within a year.

Cons

The Escalation Specialist role was originally part of the Center of Excellence (COE) and fully remote. It is no longer remote. Management relies heavily on weekly “validation” scorecards to evaluate performance. These scorecards often feel subjective and based more on opinion than actual workload, metrics, or demonstrated knowledge. They do not accurately reflect your true performance or skill level. Recognition tends to go to the same small group of individuals (primarily within Vendor Management), even though the Specialists are responsible for the majority of the day‑to‑day work and issue resolution. This creates an uneven sense of visibility and appreciation across the team. You deserve better!
