Pros
It's an easy job. Knowing how to use the toolkit, filling out tickets, and selling protection plans to customers is all you need to succeed. This job also increases your communication skills and teaches you how to sell a product to someone effectively. This job on your resume does look good to future employers for IT related careers.
Cons
You're required to be a salesman first and a troubleshooter second. The job is much less technical than you originally think unless customers come in with weird issues. But we have TSOC so some third party people who are paid $10 more than you can fix those issues (so no real technical learning here). Remember, your purpose is to sell protection plans. You're learning salemen skills far more than IT skills.
