Pros
Nice cafeteria, big parking garage, relatively convenient location for employees all over the state of Massachusetts. If you have connections with higher ups and are a "Yes" man, you'll do just great there.
Cons
Staples has been on a downward slide for some time. In my time as an employee there, I witnessed job benefits go from stock grants to stock options to restricted stock to nothing. I watched healthcare plans going from one of the best I've seen to one of the worst I've seen (charging $100 a year to have your spouse on your plan, in ADDITION to the cost of having them on the plan?) I've witnessed store stock go from office supplies to junk to office supplies to junk. I've seen quality US-sourced products moved to cheap Chinese made junk (when your child's school specifically SAYS not to use Staples brand glue sticks because they don't work- that's a problem). I've seen a company that was consistently in the Boston Globe's "100 best places to work" disappear entirely. I've seen a company that was proud of having all of its' creative work done in house send all the work to offshore companies. The company has been directionless for a while and is trying to compete with Amazon and Walmart instead of forging their own identity.
