Pros
- Decent health benefits/insurance, stocks - Easy to move up the company with hard work - Met great people, whom I consider good buddies - Free drinks, discounts - Ability to connect with all sorts of people out there
Cons
- Physical demand (did not expect to do so much lifting, running around) - High turnover rate (loss of good, experienced 'partners' and working with new baristas made it very tough and happens frequently) - High expectations on delivering 'legendary' customer service constantly with a smile - Heavy reliance on running the store efficiently (great if you like responsibility, bad if you don't know what you're doing) - There will always be moody customers who will disagree with you and give you a hard time (pay them no mind, I never understand why some people disrespect you when YOU are the one providing them what they want) - Waking up at 4:30am for opening shifts one day and working till 11:30pm the next..
