Pros

Excellent Pay Benefits are pretty good PTO is excellent They are retraining first line leadership in compassion and how to engage with employees in a positve manner (hired some folks that led with #s only) so hope for the future of Claims. Used to love my job and the Company (sigh, not much any more)

Cons

Very difficult to coach as I spend majority of the time correcting data (measurements are not accurate and there is awareness of this but not addressed). Upper leadership spends a lot of time blaming and singling out employees instead of determining actual underlying causes of results. Metrics change constantly and employee change fatigue is at an all time high. Pressure to hit certain numbers wihout a good explaination for employees (hard for them to buy in) or not tied into actual results. Metrics are instead used as a punishment as it is easier. Worklife balance for first line leadership is non-existent. I am exhausted most weeks and starting to dread Mondays.

Pros

(At the time) Fair pay and predictable bonus structure They were pretty good at covering travel expenses and paying them back quickly Diverse workforce & diversity initiatives Fun and funny coworkers Opportunities for growth Again, this was all four years ago and has likely changed

Cons

(At the time and now, according to other comments) Arrogant to a fault Total lack of innovation & willingness to innovate Odd attachment to the company's past (which prevents progress) High number of veterans (20+ years) who are determined to get that retirement money, and therefore, are resistant to change and technology Heavy reliance on command and control management style Poor decision-making that leads to losses of all kinds
