Pros

If you see any of the five star reviews... it is fake and very short with HR buzz words. Look at the patterns. The New CEO Michael Tipsord is driving the company into the ground. State Farm used to be a company with strong values but things have changed drastically over the past 4 years. I seen a lot of high talented employees leave over the past couple years to explore other opportunities outside of the company and work for other insurance companies. The new points system for days off is a joke.

Cons

The best and smartest employees are leaving the company for rival companies. State Farm is going to experience a "Brain Drain" in about a year. State Farm's highest executives have constantly lied to their regional offices about "secure and safe locations" and is relocating everyone to hubs. Career Growth have been halted with all of the new changes. I feel like majority of the employees are demoralized. Employees with long tenures are just going to retire for their pension.

Pros

(At the time) Fair pay and predictable bonus structure They were pretty good at covering travel expenses and paying them back quickly Diverse workforce & diversity initiatives Fun and funny coworkers Opportunities for growth Again, this was all four years ago and has likely changed

Cons

(At the time and now, according to other comments) Arrogant to a fault Total lack of innovation & willingness to innovate Odd attachment to the company's past (which prevents progress) High number of veterans (20+ years) who are determined to get that retirement money, and therefore, are resistant to change and technology Heavy reliance on command and control management style Poor decision-making that leads to losses of all kinds
