Pros
There is ability to work from home and flexible work arrangements. Depending on the client you work on, you may get decent industry exposure.
Cons
Extremely low salary and historically low annual merit increase/performance bonus because the company is perpetually cutting costs due to "challenging headwinds", and rather than Innovate or go after new opportunities, they choose to offshore, layoff and keep compensation low. Senior leadership in the Sacramento office is uninspiring and stagnant. Promotions are very political and playing golf or fantasy football with VPs seems to further your career more than actual hard work and value to the company and client. Turnover is very high and the strongest employees do not stick around long. The work is very operational and siloed with little opportunity for decision making. Overall the company feels very cheap and does not instill a sense of pride or confidence in the future.
