Favoritism, lots of favoritism - Senior Associate State Street Employee Review

Pros

You are able to work from home which is probably the only pro. Although it is sometimes difficult to get management to approve it.

Cons

You won’t move up for hard work or work ethic. Only way to move up is to be competitive and become a favorite of Management. Huge workloads, barely any training provided, be prepared to work 12 hour days because you will be given a work load that is impossible to complete in 8 hours. When struggling with workload there is little to no management help.

Pros

They offer resources for learning.

Cons

In my previous roles I've never felt burnout but with this one is the first I was feeling crush. I don't think managers take time to structure the tasks on a 8hrs or 10hrs per day. There are a lot of unrealistic expectations, no work-life balance at all. Even if you made the sacrifice to stay late, you will not be done with the work for the day.
