Pros
Flexible work hours, consistent pay, being part of a team
Cons
Something is clearly wrong when they are letting go editors and writers left and right, especially when they consistently work or have worked for this company for years. You get very little feedback if any and suddenly you are let go. The way editors (specifically senior editors) talk about writers is also extremely discouraging. These people are nice to your face but talk badly behind your back. I started checking random people in higher positions when I would see comments left on Trello by people who I've never spoken to nor heard of before. It gets a bit fishy when "senior" editors are promoted after working as writers for less than a year or managers who leave numerous spelling mistakes on Trello cards just graduated college a couple of years ago and have no actual editorial experience. They don't seem to care about experience, so who knows how these people were promoted.
