Pros

During the pandemic, we went fully remote, which helped me realize I prefer working remotely. The marketing team is also a pleasure to work with.

Cons

Stefanini's marketing department is intensely chaotic and for me, was a very frustrating work experience. To start. there are no SOPs or any standardized work processes in general. Nothing happens in the form of written communication, which means nothing is documented, further contributing to the chaos. Any communication that does happen must take place in the form of meetings, which are numerous, time-consuming (often running overtime), disorganized, and ultimately, unproductive. The marketing department's only KPI is output, which doesn't translate into meaningful results or leads for the company. Projects are often assigned at the last minute, forcing team members to scramble and produce work that is of poor quality. Team members are also pressured to check their work phones 24/7 so they can handle "emergencies" as they come up, even after business hours and on weekends. As a result, morale is low and turnover is high, further disrupting the department's ability to achieve its overall objectives (which change constantly and without warning). Prior to the pandemic, the department mainly produced sales collateral like brochures and the occasional video for RFPs. The pandemic (and forced transition to digital marketing) made it very clear that the department's leadership does not have a meaningful understanding of Stefanini's market, target audience or how to market within a B2B space strategically. Ultimately, I did not find Stefanini to be a good environment for learning relevant marketing tactics or skills that would help me further develop my career. Instead, it was very stressful and I am relieved to no longer work there. To be clear, the marketing team is very capable. Unfortunately, the issues within the department stem from overarching managerial problems that are embedded into the corporate culture; as such, the environment is unlikely to ever change.

Pros

Strong culture of collaboration, meaningful leadership opportunities, innovation-focused environment, and excellent potential for professional growth. High-impact opportunities within a rapidly evolving cybersecurity landscape.

Cons

As with many global organizations, some processes can be complex and slow, but they are outweighed by the scale of opportunity and quality of collaboration.
