Pros

Feel good work, working in Santa Monica, reasonable pay and vacation time. Definate opportunities for moving up if one is licensed.

Cons

Clients are treated better than employees in many cases, poor flexibility. No retirement plan/401k. Upper managemt goes to meetings all day to make changes that make life harder.

Pros

Step Up is truly a special place to work. The mission to support individuals experiencing mental health conditions and homelessness is not only powerful but is embedded in every aspect of the organization’s work. The team is compassionate, collaborative, and made up of dedicated professionals who really care about making a difference. Leadership is supportive and open to feedback, and there are real opportunities to grow and contribute in meaningful ways. It's inspiring to work alongside people who are so committed to creating positive change in the community.

Cons

Nonprofit work can come with its challenges—limited resources and heavy workloads at times—but the passion of the team and the impact of the work make it worthwhile.
