Pros

Very bad company working with this company for two months during my training and really the training is only to guide to make money from the coaches who are contractor because this company wants everyone to be contractor and the company driver as a side. Guide for company in team this company does not want you to guide more than 15 hours in the first after training but the DM tells you guide more than 15 and the other day they say no but when they have backloads they tell you guide to take The load on time but when it calls safety they say that no one really authorizes you were the 2 badest months that happened as a driver. My partner and I ran about 6,000 miles a week and we could not make 600 dollars. And the biggest reason that left this company was that after delivering in Georgia the dispacher called to say that the truck was not asked to move until tomorrow without incident that we had not eaten but I have to give thanks that for all this I could find A company that if you value your drivers

Cons

Bad company for student and driver with experience

The first steps into this industry are always the biggest, and adapting to the industry can take a little time. We do limit the number of hours a trainer-trainee team can drive more severely than DOT regulations require in the first couple of weeks for the safety of that team. The trainer is constantly working even when he is not driving because many times the trainee is brand new and will need coaching. Therefore, they cannot drive as an experienced team would. We also provide Training Councilor’s to each new driver while they are in training, and the rules are clearly explained. A person who has only been with the company two months is still in our on the job training program and paid weekly while we train you, not by the mile. You were almost there! We will NEVER require a driver who is tired to continue to drive. Stevens Transport Is known industry wide for our high focus on safety, and that record stands for itself. If you were told not to move the truck, you were most likely completely out of drivable hours and for you to continue to drive would have been illegal and dangerous. We are sorry that you had a poor experience and wish you the very best for the future!

Pros

You get to see the country

Cons

Bad communication, unrealistic expectations, lying recruiters, poor driver management, loopholes to get out of paying you for anything, safety rules go too far and prevent you from properly driving, some safety rules actually make it more unsafe to drive the truck, pay is not accurate, no real opportunities to make it home if you dont live near a drop zone.
