Pros

Honestly, none. Stitch Fix used to be a great company, but it’s gone downhill fast. The way they disrespected a loyal, high-performing stylist of 5 years is unacceptable and shows how little they value their people.

Cons

I worked at Stitch Fix for nearly 5 years and was always a dedicated, high-performing employee. Unfortunately, after being reassigned to a new manager, I was fired within just 2 weeks of working under her—without a valid reason. The environment is extremely hostile and toxic, and it became clear to me that the company does not care about its employees at all. From what I’ve seen, Stitch Fix is struggling financially and seems to be finding excuses to fire people instead of laying them off, just so they can avoid paying severance. Management operates with fear rather than respect, and morale across the team is terrible. With AI taking over many of their roles, I honestly would not recommend anyone waste their time working here. It’s a sinking ship, and they treat people as disposable.

Pros

- The company started out with good intentions I feel, as we have the ability to set our own schedule and working from home is always a plus.

Cons

- As time goes on, more and more have been taken away from stylists. Our scheduling freedom was removed this year, which was a huge reason most people applied for this job. In other part time jobs, you can usually give shifts away or trade with others, but now you have no flexibility and are expected to work max hours every week. - Stylists have not been given a raise in years and instead are capped after you work here for so long. - Seems like the company is heading in a direction for stylists to be taken over by AI, but we'll see! - You are completely controlled by your metrics, which a lot of times you have no control over because of bad inventory, but will be monitored and put on corrective action + eventually fired if your metrics aren't always where the company wants them to be
