Pros

-Work from home -40% discount (if there is ever any new inventory worth buying)

Cons

This used to be a company that valued its stylists. You could be a stylist and make a little extra income while being a mom, working other jobs, etc. You used to be able to work whenever it worked for you and your lifestyle, and the company valued and understood its employees came from all walks of life with varying backgrounds. That all changed this week when it was unexpectedly announced that all part time stylists must increase to working a minimum of 20 hours a week, all schedules must be set with the exact times that you will work, you must work a minimum number of hours each shift, and you can only work between specified start and end times each day. To go from a very flexible model where stylists could schedule their time where ever it fit best as long as the job was getting done to a micromanaging model is extremely disappointing and only shows that the time and efforts of their stylists have meant nothing. Oh but at least there is a voluntary resignation payout of $1000 if the complete change in structure no longer permits you to work for the company (until they run out of money due to the influx of resignations). We have constantly been asked to be flexible, cut our hours, embrace change, be transparent and communicate with our leads and management, do our jobs despite the significant lack of support or available inventory to be successful, be creative and use our #stitchfixgrit when we don’t have inventory to send quality Fixes to our loyal clients. And after all of that, a ton of strong stylists are being forced out of their roles and losing out on a income source that was accessible to any lifestyle.

Pros

- The company started out with good intentions I feel, as we have the ability to set our own schedule and working from home is always a plus.

Cons

- As time goes on, more and more have been taken away from stylists. Our scheduling freedom was removed this year, which was a huge reason most people applied for this job. In other part time jobs, you can usually give shifts away or trade with others, but now you have no flexibility and are expected to work max hours every week. - Stylists have not been given a raise in years and instead are capped after you work here for so long. - Seems like the company is heading in a direction for stylists to be taken over by AI, but we'll see! - You are completely controlled by your metrics, which a lot of times you have no control over because of bad inventory, but will be monitored and put on corrective action + eventually fired if your metrics aren't always where the company wants them to be
