New policies are exclusionary...I now hate the job I used to love. - Senior Stylist Stitch Fix Employee Review

Pros

40% discount however since the new policies were announced on 8/2/21 I am not interested in buying anything from Stitch Fix.

Cons

Rigid scheduling, we have to share our schedule 2 weeks in advance down to 15 minutes increments but we don't get our actual hours until 2 days before the new week starts. Also, AI/robots are doing more and more styling and the company is not being transparent about this with clients and stylists take the brunt of the negative feedback (a Fix Preview styled by AI could include 4 sweaters in July for someone that lives in Miami or you could see things you specifically asked NOT to see). Low pay - but the freedom with scheduling made it worth it to me. Stylists are feeling dispensable since after we quit we can be replaced with someone from a state with lower wages. Another small thing, I used to be able to do volunteer work during the day and would make up my hours at night - I felt so lucky to have a flexible schedule and I will miss this. So much for "Stitch Fix for Good".

Pros

- The company started out with good intentions I feel, as we have the ability to set our own schedule and working from home is always a plus.

Cons

- As time goes on, more and more have been taken away from stylists. Our scheduling freedom was removed this year, which was a huge reason most people applied for this job. In other part time jobs, you can usually give shifts away or trade with others, but now you have no flexibility and are expected to work max hours every week. - Stylists have not been given a raise in years and instead are capped after you work here for so long. - Seems like the company is heading in a direction for stylists to be taken over by AI, but we'll see! - You are completely controlled by your metrics, which a lot of times you have no control over because of bad inventory, but will be monitored and put on corrective action + eventually fired if your metrics aren't always where the company wants them to be
