Pros

*Work from home. *Choose what days you work and how many hours per day as long as you fulfill the required number of hours per week.

Cons

*This part-time job no longer values those with families or other jobs. Prior to this month (August of 2021) the part-time stylist position was ideal because you could work your hours at your discretion and on your own schedule which meant that it was perfect for stay-at-home parents and those with other jobs. That flexibility is now gone due to a sweeping new scheduling requirement. * Even though stylists are required to be available every day from 8AM to 8PM and for 20 hours per week, Stitch Fix will not guarantee them a minimum number of hours per week. Some weeks, you will work all 20 of your possible hours, sometimes only 6 or 7, and if they do not need you that week, you will not work at all. No guarantee of hours means there is no dependable income. *Stylists are under very strict requirements to style a certain number of Fixes per week but that is extremely difficult to meet when the available inventory is not optimal and it takes longer to find appropriate items to send to clients. Every day, I receive requests for specific items that clients would like but I am unable to find them. Simple things like white jeans or a maxi dress - things you would think would be plentiful are often very hard to find. In other words, this job should be simpler, but stylists do not have the support or the necessary inventory to make good assortments for every client in a speedy way. * Management consistently gives as little real information as possible to their employees. Corporate leadership does not seem to be open to criticism or even inquiries regarding their decisions, and across the company there is a sense that you must keep things positive no matter what.

Pros

- The company started out with good intentions I feel, as we have the ability to set our own schedule and working from home is always a plus.

Cons

- As time goes on, more and more have been taken away from stylists. Our scheduling freedom was removed this year, which was a huge reason most people applied for this job. In other part time jobs, you can usually give shifts away or trade with others, but now you have no flexibility and are expected to work max hours every week. - Stylists have not been given a raise in years and instead are capped after you work here for so long. - Seems like the company is heading in a direction for stylists to be taken over by AI, but we'll see! - You are completely controlled by your metrics, which a lot of times you have no control over because of bad inventory, but will be monitored and put on corrective action + eventually fired if your metrics aren't always where the company wants them to be
