Pros
They run nice properties with engaged ownership groups. They try to get out in front of industry technology as it becomes available. They value brand compliance and provide GM's with the tools to get capex reinvestment.
Cons
Turnover at the top is wild. In a couple of years, under the purview of the current CEO, the SVP of Operations has turned over 4 times, I personally had 6 bosses in 4 years, all with a different set of expectations. This company has a continually changing and unorganized reporting structure with RVP's reporting to RVP's and GM's reporting to other GM's. Corporate HR put out a newsletter with a semi regular cadence, and the most engaging topic was to see how many colleagues that I knew and liked were on the, always sizable, departures list. Finally, I was added to that list and those that knew and liked me were surprised anew. Next time you interview for a company, I encourage you to ask about turnover rates at the VP level and up. I fear for Stonebridge, there is... "More to come".
