Pros

The people! Met some forever friends and had a great manager!

Cons

1. Racist company (Who gets rid of MLK holiday?) Like how do you get rid of a national holiday?!? Smh that's only 1 of many! 2. 2nd round of layoffs just to hire and make room for a President and a CFO (salary 250-300k) go figure!! In less than a year had another round of layoffs smh this company is going downhill! (Peak season didn't do too good) I wonder why...hmmm! 3. The leadership/ELT team are all idiots and don't care about their associates! I feel sorry for the EA they hired, boy do she have her work cut out for her!!

This policy decision was meant to foster a more inclusive and customer-centric approach to our company calendar. Due to the nature of Stord’s business, we must remain open on the days our carrier partners (Fed-Ex, UPS, etc.) and customers are open and delivering, including MLK day. To accomodate that, we have implemented a policy which offers floating holidays so that we can fulfill the diverse holiday requests from our diverse workforce. Where individual job roles allow, we encourage employees to honor MLK day and any other holidays that mean the most to them.

Pros

Stord offers competitive pay and meaningful equity to all full time employees, giving every employee the opportunity to share in the company's success. We continue to grow through both organic expansion and acquisitions, creating exciting opportunities and increasing the value of that equity. The work is demanding, but it is rewarding. Employees are trusted with a level of ownership and responsibility that would be difficult to find elsewhere, especially early in their careers. If you are looking to learn quickly, solve complex problems, and make a real impact, there are few places that provide this kind of experience. It is exciting to be part of a company that is genuinely growing and succeeding in an industry where that is not always the case.

Cons

Stord is not the right fit for everyone. It is a fast-paced, high-expectation environment where priorities can change quickly, and there is often ambiguity. Success requires being self-motivated, adaptable, and comfortable taking ownership without having every answer or process laid out for you. The pressure can be intense at times, but if you are ambitious, willing to work hard, and eager to grow, you will be given opportunities to take on responsibilities well beyond your title. Those who embrace that environment tend to advance quickly and develop skills that are difficult to gain elsewhere.

Pros

* Friendly coworkers and a welcoming training environment. * Fast-paced operation with opportunities to learn warehouse and logistics processes. * Leadership is expected to take ownership and support the team when needed. * Good experience for those looking to build operations or supply chain management skills.

Cons

* The schedule and time expectations for salaried leaders did not match what was communicated during the hiring process. * Managers are expected to remain until all available work has been completed, which can result in workdays extending several hours beyond the scheduled shift. * The lack of clarity around long-term scheduling made it difficult to maintain outside commitments. * I believe candidates would benefit from receiving a more transparent explanation of the expected hours and day-to-day responsibilities before accepting the role.
