The department is short staffed. With that in mind, everyone has to pitch in to cover counter and answer phone, wait on customers ect. In doing so, we are forever chasing our tails and ar not able to fill the floor or produce backup. I have asked for my hours to be cut some, but that has never happened. Some employees get away with only doing a little work, while others are asked to work faster to make up the difference.
