Pros

+Making mistakes is part of the learning experience, but teams are truly supportive and encouraging +Teams spend time together in and out of office, which makes it a fun work atmosphere (i.e. Halloween costumes are getting very competitive) +Promotions are based on merit - hard work doesn’t go unnoticed and you control your own success +Offers concrete path to management and opportunities to relocate to awesome cities across the US (New York, Boston, Denver etc) +Company fosters diversity and hires from all backgrounds

Cons

-Sales positions require comfort with rejection - not for the faint of heart -It can be challenging to take constructive criticism and grow from failure -Frustrating when clients and candidates decide to hire or go to work somewhere else

Pros

None. It is obvious that all positive reviews are wrote by management

Cons

This is a bad org to work for. The base compensation BAD and the commission structure is exceptionally poor (5%-10%) with earnings not starting until the 8th or 9th deal. (THIS IS A HUGE RED FLAG, unheard of in the industry). This means Partners are making 100% of your deals until your ninth placement, and even at the Senior level, they still make 90% of your deal. At the agency I am at now, my commission is above 30% and started immediately. basically only hire entry-level people, enforce extreme micromanagement, including multiple daily meetings with your managers, and exhibit an unclear and wishy-washy growth trajectory. I once billed around $500k with this organization in a year and only took home $75k. When I told this to a well-respected recruiter for recruiters, she said at any other agency, I easily would have cleared $200k take-home. There is Nonexistent Work-Life Balance and Poor HR Policies. SEP offers little to no flexibility, and PTO starts at ZERO. It requires PTO to be accrued very slowly, and management forces employees to justify and explain their personal reasons for taking time off. I have had to tell my managers why EXACTLY I needed a day off, which is illegal to ask for. You must also be prepared to be contacted throughout the day if you do take a day off. Even when I was working there, EVERYONE was plotting their escape. My biggest regret in my professional life was accepting a job here, lost so much money.
