Pros
SRI was my first real job, after college. It was very hard for me to find a permanent full-time job. I had three degrees and a ton of potential. The only jobs I could get were temp positions. When I was assigned to temp for SRI, everyone was so welcoming and supportive. I remember one definitive moment when I was organizing files, a soft spoken lady walked in, asked me how I was doing. She sat down on the floor and showed me how to organize the files more efficiently. She was so open and caring that it made me work harder to make sure the job was done right. After she left I asked one of my co-workers who that lady was so I can thank her for helping me and he told me it was the CEO of the Company. I was floored by her humility and that is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to her generosity. After that encounter, I desperately wanted to work for this company and I went above and beyond my requirements to show my commitment. After just a few months, I was offered my first permanent full-time position in my adult career. Once my paperwork was completed the CEO personally came to me and welcomed me to the company. She told me that she hired me because she wanted to invest in me to insure I became the best I could be both professionally and personally. It’s been a year and 6 months and I’m still overjoyed and extremely grateful for my position here at SRI.
