Strategic Resources Incorporated Response
7ySRI conducts New Hire Orientation training sessions several times each month to welcome new employees to the company and to communicate information regarding competitive benefits package available to all eligible employees along with other benefits. Based on the Government contract an employee is supporting, the benefit packages may be administered differently; but again, this information is shared during orientation and we have a benefits team that is available to further discuss any details.
In support of the Military and Family Life Counselor contract, the wages and benefits are subject to the Department of Labor Service Contract Act (SCA) which dictates the hourly wages and health and welfare payout (which can be used to cover the cost of company benefits). We are disappointed after numerous trainings that some employees do not understand the SCA and the wages and benefits associated. However, SRI must remain compliant with the SCA, government regulations and labor laws. Additionally, at SRI, we want our employees to excel not just for our customers; but, for their personal achievements and we provide incentives to encourage employees to do so. Many individuals within SRI have been promoted to senior level positions, based on their performance. Opportunities for growth are always available as long as the employee has the drive and the willingness to take on the responsibilities of that position. SRI values every employee and when appropriate, monetary and/or non-monetary recognition, special events and personal mentoring are all offered as incentives.
Lastly, SRI values open communications and transparency with new candidates and current employees. When a potential offer for employment exceeds the current position’s standard, the offer has to receive approval from SRI executives and sometimes the government, for special considerations. We do not make guarantees when approvals are needed, but always communicate the possibility of various outcomes.
