Pros
The students who are serious about their education are a pleasure to teach. Strayer is a for-profit college and compared with its competition is probably better than most. But the entire industry is nothing more than marketing engine not a school. If you are interested in education, you will have to maek too many compromises to be professionally satisfied.
Cons
The worst "work-life" company I have ever worked for or heard about--and I was a consultant in industry for 30 years. The business model is an educational scam. The company is incentivized byt the government to sign-up as many marginal students as they can. The company keeps the up-front profits and the government eats the back-end loan losses. These are not schools, they are marketing machines, really in the consumer finance business. The government, which "regulates" this industry, should force them to book a loan loss reserve for each student and then collect when the students default which is highly probable.
