Pros

Great learning experience, met great people.

Cons

Ownership will make or break your experience. My experience was less than stellar. Ownership at my locations was very heavily involved, which typically would be nice. However, they will micromanage every task you do. Down to listening to your phone calls. If it's not done EXACTLY how they would do it, it's wrong. Criticism comes in the form of a call, text AND email. It will be brought up multiple times until it's defeating and no longer constructive. Mistakes will be brought to your attention via text or email anywhere from 8pm to 10pm which is extremely inappropriate. Early on when you make a mistake they'll laugh it off and tell you that it's okay, but do it again and they will be out right disrespectful. In my years of working in the fitness/wellness industry I have never seen more people quit, be fired or cry at work. The turnover was insane. Emotional and disrespectful outbursts from ownership created a very toxic work environment and you could feel the tension at all times. Rude and condescending texts were constantly being sent. There is absolutely NO work/life balance if you work in management. You will often times work 9.5-10 hour days with no lunch break and have 1 day off a week and they consider that normal all while paying you a poverty level salary. They will consistently try and tell you that they're "chill" or believe in their staff having work/life balance but the reality is that they have no idea what that means. Everything from going to get a cup of coffee to helping a coworker with something not work related for 5 minutes will be used against you. I have never been more miserable at a job in my life. I realize this isn't everyone's experience, but everyone seemed pretty unhappy with ownership across the board. They will mislead you during the interview process so I would urge anyone thinking about working at these locations to look elsewhere.

Pros

Emotionally fulfilling work, seeing clients progress towards their goals is rewarding. Time goes by quickly when you're engaged with your client.

Cons

For stretchlab generally: Grossly underpaid for the level of skilled physical labor. This is intense on the body over time, with repetitive stress to joints. You must shape your physical training and recovery outside of the job, around the job itself. The Dublin location (same owner at Gahanna and Powell) : Owner did not pay rate specified in offer letter, and refused to rectify the problem. Poor customer service to clients from owner and management. Constantly changes their minds on how operations should function, lack of consistency overall. No respect for personal time, very unlikely to grant time off requests. Does not follow franchise format of Lead Flex -> providing ongoing training for Flexologist. This sucked, because it felt like there were few opportunities to improve skills. I was the most utlizied/consistently booked flex, and was still bullied/berated for getting sick despite being the highest earner. Everyone quit - management and all flexes, due to owner behavior. Owner should not be in a people-oriented business, he is not a people-person.
