Good flexibility, but you are expendable - Spanish Teacher Stride Employee Review

Pros

Work from home. Students are great.

Cons

Constant changes in expectations. Often elective courses, even Spanish are given only 30 minutes per week of instructional time, sometimes less. Be prepared to teach anywhere from 600-2000 students, and you are basically grading. In-person testing is challenging, inflexible, and your life must revolve around the commitment.

Pros

Work/Life balance has never been better for me. I work with a great team and love my job.

Cons

I wish the policy for working outside the country had not changed, but this does not impact me personally.

Pros

Flexibility and working from home. Safety at work. Great supportive environment for last few years.

Cons

Cost prohibitive testing travel expenses that are not immediately reimbursed. Required to leave home for 2 weeks. Sometimes policies are not enforced to keep funding for students that are not a good fit for online learning.
