Pros

Great benefits and decent HR support

Cons

Women are highly disrespected at this company, especially working in the field. Managers have very little regard for employee well-being and scold minor mistakes quite harshly. There are major communication issues between managers and employees. Employees are expected to work 15+ hours per day, on their feet, without food or breaks, and are reprimanded for any well-being advocacy or suggestions for efficiency/ change. Upper level team members and management foster a toxic team environment through unchecked power abuse. Poor working conditions, toxic management, unrealistic expectations, a gossiping team, lack of communication, and a sexist culture made for a very poor experience working at Stryker. I would not recommend joining this company.

Pros

The individual contributors you work with are fantastic people and the products we work on are really interesting and have significant impacts on patient care.

Cons

Sports Medicine has unfortunately changed from a dynamic and collaborative group to one being led by toxic leadership. Rather than working together and trusting team members, they now have an in group and out group. If you’re in the in group, you can say anything you want without being questioned and be automatically trusted even when your track record says otherwise. If you’re in the out group and your message doesn’t align with what the leadership wants to hear, then you are automatically wrong and not to be trusted.
