Pros

You gain a lot of experience in the corporate world. They try to bring everyone together for fun events Sometimes the have kegs and free food

Cons

Management is TERRIBLE, they started micromanaging and trying to disguise it by saying we are going more "modern" The teams are always against each other, especially out in the field. Management does NOT let anyone out in the field know whats going on in house. On the team I was on, the team was extremely negative all the time. The like to blame others for how they act. Its miserable going into work everyday with people who don't want to be there. They started this "PIP" thing (Performance Improvement Plan) they don't give you any warnings before you're put on it, they don't let you change anything they just BAM put you on it and you can moved or be promoted in a year! They are just passing them out now because they don't want anyone to leave their positions. They never actually invest in good talent. (A lot of it depends on the team you are on and the director you have)

Pros

-Overall high level of talent that you work with -Massive Economies of Scale -Healthy bonus related to healthy company performance

Cons

- Poor Work/Life Balance - HR really only works for Director's and up, and enables their behavior regardless of alignment with company values. Just there to protect the shield - Upstream Marketing has little to know upward growth or trajectory even with years of high ratings on reviews. Must carry the bag to grow career at Stryker.
