Pros

Great learning center, pressure cooker but if you can make it here, you will be set. If you going into sales or marketing, you have an upward career mobility (look at the management, they are mainly sales and marketing). R&D, good luck.

Cons

Every strategy looks on paper but very poor execution. Cross divisional collaboration and synergy, management does not realize in absence of a process, cross divisional collaboration does not work (different P/L and goals). You can hope and pray but if there is no process or management intervention, IT WILL NEVER WORK, your employees will be greatly be frustrated and think it is a joke. Career pathing for others than Sales and Marketing is non existence, they have many tools and claims to have but if your not in Sales & Marketing, you are toast.

Pros

The individual contributors you work with are fantastic people and the products we work on are really interesting and have significant impacts on patient care.

Cons

Sports Medicine has unfortunately changed from a dynamic and collaborative group to one being led by toxic leadership. Rather than working together and trusting team members, they now have an in group and out group. If you’re in the in group, you can say anything you want without being questioned and be automatically trusted even when your track record says otherwise. If you’re in the out group and your message doesn’t align with what the leadership wants to hear, then you are automatically wrong and not to be trusted.
