Pros

Salary and benefits are good. Flexible schedule and good work-life balance.

Cons

A lot of politics! This Division used to be good until employees from the Mahwah location were suspiciously promoted to management roles and relocated to Alameda. They require you to spend most of your days in meetings to discuss what you will be discussing in future meetings and as soon as you leave the meeting, you email one another to discuss the meeting you just left. Former employees still keep in touch with some members of management. The reason why this is bad is because management share confidential information such as future business plans, firings, lay-offs before they even occur. So these former employees end up looking like the modern Nostradamus. Some of the women there can be real catty unless if you're upper management and they're attempting to get a "raise" out of you.

Pros

The individual contributors you work with are fantastic people and the products we work on are really interesting and have significant impacts on patient care.

Cons

Sports Medicine has unfortunately changed from a dynamic and collaborative group to one being led by toxic leadership. Rather than working together and trusting team members, they now have an in group and out group. If you’re in the in group, you can say anything you want without being questioned and be automatically trusted even when your track record says otherwise. If you’re in the out group and your message doesn’t align with what the leadership wants to hear, then you are automatically wrong and not to be trusted.
