Pros
Stryker NV has one of the greatest missions and it was an honor to work for them for the time I did. If your looking for a place that give you a purpose to wake up in the morning, these devices save lives. The benefits are bar none, some of the best out there. The Production Line Supervisors and Line Leads are great people and will work to support, within their means to fight for you. I have worked very close with them and know them all personally. Unfortunately, its the management above them (see Cons).
Cons
This organization is now the Wal-Mart of Medical Devices. Its growth has gone far beyond caring for the people that actually build and do the day to day grind. They claim to be very Veteran Friendly and when I first started, it was. Now, its more of a charade (at the SLC Facility). They will claim support and parade the Veteran around. But when it comes to recruitment, addressing/compromising for disabilities, and supporting the local Veteran Community. Forget it! (One of the Senior most leaders at the facility claimed for months to be the organization Senior Leadership Sponsor, but failed to follow through). Work/Life Balance is horrible! Your expected to work like crazy and do overtime! But if a mental health break is needed or you want to request vacation. Good Luck getting it approved (unless your part of the upper management circle). But don't worry, they will pay you for it later. If your an hard worker and one that goes above and beyond. Don't bother here, unless you can find your way in good with the upper circles. They use what's called a "Step Program", meaning everyone gets a raise regardless of performance. The Attendance Policy is VERY Aggressive! You get 5x points in a 12x month cycle. Paid Time Off (PTO) cannot be Used as Sick time (6x days in a 12x month period), don't even try, regardless of their COVID Absence Policies! Everyday sick past the allotted Sick Time is 2x points. This standard is for ALL Hourly Employees. (This caught me by surprise, under a new Supervisor). (But if you do have a medical condition, mental health condition, a family member that needs special attention. Ask about the program , it will be your protection if you need it).
