Pros

grandfathered into a nice salary location hours

Cons

Everything else you can think of in a job. CEOs (who are not BCBAs or even RBTs) micromanage and constantly interfere with clinical decision making, including pressuring recommendations for more hours than medically necessary as determined by the actual clinicians. No benefits. Too many clients for not enough staff, including actively bringing in new clients after staff resign and do not have replacements yet (to the point that BCBAs, including the clinical director, are running direct therapy sessions DAILY and unable to complete programming/supervision responsibilities). RBTs/BTs/interns/trainers have low pay (under $20/hour in many cases). Lack of training (franchise standards include a pretty impressive training/onboarding program and curriculum but it is not implemented at this location in practice and there appear to be no consequences for it). CEOs do not care when staff are injured on the job and will assign staff to high behavior clients without adequate training/crisis intervention certifications, even when BCBAs advocate for a higher standard of care.
