Pros

Manageable schedule ( only 2 patients per hour, one of the good things to come of the COVID changes), autonomy, no micromanaging manager, very flexible schedule as needed, pay schedule is better than most.

Cons

Technically no PTO as you get paid based on volume. If your caseload is above your projected volume, you have accrued time off that way. Unsupportive management.

Loved the doctors I worked with and everything was great until we moved to a Summit Health multi-specialty office with a new manager

Cons

Once the office moved to a Summit Health multi-specialty office with a new Manger, the scheduling got really wonky and there were whole shifts when I would be the only MA on staff. We had a busy practice and it became insane. The new manager had no idea what she was doing- our old manager had decades of healthcare experience and this new one had an MBA and an attitude and was rarely around to discuss issues.
