Cons
1. Leadership is extremely poor: Some managers do not possess any technical expertise and have no idea how instruments and processes work even though they have been in the same company for decades. They fail to provide technical support to the employees and dismiss any concerns related to workplace bullying. 2. No structured training and mentorship: There is deliberate gatekeeping of critical information by senior employees which make it hard for new hires to work efficiently while the seniors maintain control. No clear explanation about equipment usage and troubleshooting is ever provided. A very frustrating environment. 3. Workplace bullying: Senior employees in certain departments frequently engage in public undermining and passive aggressive behavior towards new hires causing very high turnover. 4. Outdated technology and processes: They do not invest in new technology and instrumentation and the labs look like they are still living in the medieval era. 5. There is no opportunity of growth and the environment is extremely toxic due to office politics.
