Pros

Focus on Climatech Interesting use-cases where software development can really help the business grow Good Compensation

Cons

Very Poor Leadership - Top layer filled with ex-amazon senior officials who think, talk and walk the exact same, which means lack of diversity and uniqueness. They also don't have a background in the solar business and have seem to brought in their amazon-practices with them (hint: pip cuts). When the stock price was high back in 2021/2022, they expanded and beefed up the team across the board. When they started to see a slump in financials, they started laying off dramatically. Which tells me that the management has a lack of foresight on how finances are going to be used in a sustainable way. Digital Leadership is especially very poor. Little to no vision. Even if there is a vision it is not translated to junior employees timely or at all. Poor employee benefits

Pros

The people at SunPower/BlueRaven were some of the funnest people to work with. I built a lot of great relationships there.

Cons

When SunPower was purchased by TJ Rodgers, he came in and was telling everyone how he was going to turn the whole company around and that "because he's a billionaire he knows how to make it happen" -- Well.. over the span of about a year he laid off about 70% of the company and tried to make other independent contractors so he didnt have to give them a base. The whole company dynamic changed and I now have yet to speak to any former colleagues who enjoyed being there. - Its very toxic now.
